You Know I'm Right
02:33
|

You can very well call me crazy,
I don’t know what they hired you for
Just another little sad and lonely
Small boy’s head on a weak man’s core
Another yes man gets promoted
They want a mind that they can mold
So afraid of any sign of ambition
Guess the way to get ahead is doing what you’re told
You know I’m right
You’re failing up yeah you feed off
Mediocre white man self-interest
I hope it hurts when you fall
I hope you know it’s your fault
You can very well call me crazy
I don’t know what I stay here for
It’s not for the privilege of watching
Weak men prosper over everyone else
You know I’m right
You’re failing up yeah you feed off
Mediocre white man self-interest
I hope it hurts when you fall
I hope you know it’s your fault

Real Nice Guy
02:51
|

Hey pretty girl can I buy you a drink?
Oh come on, just a little one?
Why don’t you give me a chance?
I’m a real nice guy!
Hey I’m talking to you!
Where d’you get off being such a goddamn bitch?
Are you serious right now dude?
Let me break this down for you
In a language you’ll understand
Cos not everything’s about you man
I don’t want anything from you
I don’t need anything from you
I’m just trying to get a drink without a side of harassment
I know you think you’re cute but you’re behaving like trash dude
So take your low class line
Take your no class shirt
Go find another bar
Before I show you how much of a bitch I really am
And you don’t wanna see that man.

I am haunted by the idea I could have said nothing
I am haunted by the idea you could have said no
I’m confounded by how easily you became everything
I miss you every moment that I’m not at home
I am haunted by how easily I could ignore
Everything that I knew but I didn’t know
I never met a feeling I couldn’t run from
No one ever made me stand still and face them before
And I can only apologise to every love song I ever despised ‘cos
They oughta write about us
They oughta put us in lights
And I don’t care if that sounds trite
And I don’t care if this makes all my friends barf
I’m still looking for the words to share
Guess since I met you I’ve been drowning in idioms
And that’s fine, just as long as you’re there
I am grateful every day that I said something
I am grateful every day that you said yes
Nothing about all of this makes sense to me
I wouldn’t settle for anything less
And I can only apologise to every love song I ever despised ‘cos
They oughta write about us
They oughta put us in lights
And I don’t care if that sounds trite
And I don’t care if this makes all my friends barf
I’m still looking for the words to share
Guess since I met you I’ve been drowning in idioms
And that’s fine, just as long as you’re there
I am grateful every day.

Cat At The Party
03:14
|
|||
I was invited to a party and arrived alone
I got there early and I didn’t know anyone
I scanned the room for a familiar face but I found none
Settle for friendly but that didn’t describe anyone
And then I saw the most majestic figure
Look down from up on the refridgerator
And I had nothing left to fear
Party saviour of the year
There was a cat at the party!
We talked of whens and hows he never left me on my own
I saved his life once when a drunk guy almost sat on him
And as the night wore on you know he never left my side
So neither one of us would ever have to hide
And finally my friends arrive
I turn to introduce him
But he's already moved on to find
The next awkward person delighted to find
There was a cat at the party!
